DRAY INFLUENCES DUO'S MOVE

Neil Blackburn30 Jul 2012 - 13:49

Former Bridgwater Town players Andy Robertson and Sam Hutchings have joined Bideford AFC following new assisatnt manager Rob Dray.

Robertson, a midfielder who has captained Weston-super-Mare and has also been with Wellington and Weymouth, and goalkeeper Hutchings, both played for Bridgwater in the Southern Division One South & West last season under Rob Dray, who is now the Robins' assistant-manager. Dray was previously the manager of Bridgwater and has since been replaced by Dave Pople and Kevin Milsom, his assistant last season.

"Andy and Sam have settled in well," said Rob. "Most of last season's squad have re-signed. "We have been pleased with the way we have played in friendlies and know that we will be playing some quality sides in the premier division.

"We have shown plenty of promise in our warm-up games and gained a draw with Truro City. "I know you can't read too much into friendlies, but winning becomes a habit. We need to get into that frame of mind."
