Sean Joyce is a former EFL professional, who played for Doncaster Rovers, Exeter City and Torquay United making 200 league appearances. Sean was a member of Torquay's Division Four Play-Off winning side of 1991. After leaving the Gulls, Sean played non-league football for Elmore, Taunton Town and then Bideford where he ended his playing career.
Sean is a highly respected manager in non-league football with an amazing 26 years served as manager of Bideford. Joyce took over a struggling team on the verge of relegation from the Western League Premier Division and transformed them into Western League champions within three years. After winning five Western League titles, Sean then guided the Robins to the Southern League Division One South title in 2011/12 and their highest ever league finish of 8th in the Southern League Premier Division.
Under Sean's management, Bideford have also won the Western League Cup twice, the Devon St Luke's Cup three times and the semi finals of the FA Vase back in 2003.
