The Bristol side won the Hellenic League title last season and have begun the 2023/24 campaign well. They have won their last four games in all competitions beating Southern League Premier side Swindon Supermarine in the FA Cup last time out. Cribbs have won two, drawn one and lost one so far in the league.

Bideford have one win, two draws and one defeat so far in Division One South and wins over Wellington and Helston in the FA Cup before the loss at Horndean. Mattie Buchan returned to action last week with Craig Duff expected to return this week, although Niall Heeney remains out.

The clubs have met just once before back in 2019 at The Lawns where Bideford came away with a 1-0 victory in the FA Cup. Craig Duff was the scorer that day.

A Brief History of Cribbs FC
Cribbs FC were originally founded in 1958 in London as Sun Life Assurance. The club relocated to Bristol in 1976 and initially played in the Bristol and Avon League before spending 20 years competing in the Avon Premier Combination League (later renamed the Bristol Premier Combination. At the end of the nineties the club changed its name to AXA Sun Life FC following the merger of AXA Equity & Law and Sun Life Assurance Society and then became simply AXA FC in 2002. In 2011 the merger of AXA Sun Life and Friends Provident meant another name change and Cribbs Friends Life FC was born. After 12 years in the Gloucester County League the club became league champions in 2011/12 and also won the Les James League Cup that season. The club were then promoted to Western League Division One. The club parted ways with their Insurance Company backer in 2013 and became known as Cribbs FC. In 2014/15 they finished third in Western League Division One and were promoted to the Premier Division where they remain to this day. In 2018/19 Cribbs finished in 8th position in the league, won the GFA Challenge Trophy and also reached the Fourth Round of the FA Vase. Following two abandoned seasons due to the coronavirus pandemic, Cribbs transferred to the Hellenic League Premier Division finishing 4th in 2021/22 and then becoming Hellenic League champions in 2022/23 meaning promotion for the first time to the Southern League.
