We’ve reached the semi final stage of the Devon St Luke’s Cup, a trophy Bideford are looking to retain following last season’s victory over rivals Barnstaple Town in the final.

The Robins come into tonight’s semi final off the back of a huge win at fellow relegation threatened side Bashley on Saturday, a result that kept them out of the bottom four in Southern League Division One South. Prior to that were a couple of heavy defeats to Brixham and Winchester City. Bideford had a walkover win against Teignmouth in the first round of the St Luke’s Bowl before progressing past Cullompton Rangers and Tavistock, setting up tonight’s tie with Holsworthy.

Holsworthy are in the better form of the two sides with four wins in their last six games, most recently a 4-0 victory at Launceston. The Magpies are in 7th position and are managed by former Bideford player of over 10 years, Kevin Squire. Holsworthy progressed past Crediton in the first round of the St Luke’s Bowl, then had a walkover win against Axminster Town and beat Southern League side Brixham on penalties in the quarter finals.
