Bideford suffered a fourth consecutive defeat going down 2-0 to Bristol Manor Farm at the Creek.
The hosts ran right over the Robins in a dominant first half performance, which could and should have seen them even more comfortable by the halfway mark.
After a steady opening 10 minutes, Bideford were caught out on the break as Brandon Bak was played through on goal. The Manor Farm forward squared for Joshua Salmon whose effort was blocked on the line by Louie Slough, but Thomas Blake was on hand to slam the ball home.
Farm doubled their lead on 20 minutes through a huge slice of luck. Blake played the ball wide for Salmon whose shot took a massive deflection to completely wrongfoot Leo McCormick and find the net.
Bideford were now having to withstand wave after wave of attacks. Sam Wright cleared off the line to deny Salmon his second, McCormick saved well from Bak and then repeated the feat only this time tipping his shot onto the post.
Salmon then rattled an angled shot off the crossbar as the Robins looked desperate for the half time whistle.
The second half didn’t start much better as Slough brought down Bak in the box to concede a penalty. However, Bideford were let off the hook again as Bak’s spot kick rebounded back off the base of the post.
The Robins attempted to get themselves back into the game but Archie Reay’s blocked shot was the best they could muster as the game closed in on the hour mark. Scott Robinson made a good run down the right but his low ball across goal was well cut out before it could reach Mattie Buchan.
Ryan Cainey fired over the bar for Farm and Jemar South-Thomas made a good break down the left but he too was unable to keep his shot down.
Bideford did eventually find the net in the final few minutes as Charlie Wright tapped home after Reay’s strike was charged down, but it was ruled out for offside.
