The Robins will be looking to bounce back from their defeat on the 27th December to Exmouth Town and begin the new year with a much needed home win. Bideford have only won one of their last seven games at the Sports Ground and will need to improve on that statistic if they are to keep away from danger at the bottom of Division One South. The Robins are currently in 16th place, five points above the bottom four.

Mousehole have dipped slightly this season compared to last but still sit comfortably in 11th place and remain a very capable side. Just prior to Christmas they became only the second side to win at Portishead in the league this season, in fact only the third side to take any points at all away from the then-league leaders. Their away from in general has been excellent with a current run of eight games on the road without defeat, so the Seagulls will be a tough test for the Robins on Saturday.

Bideford have won the last two meetings at the Sports Ground, 4-1 in the league last season and 3-1 in the FA Trophy back in September. Mousehole on the other hand have won every meeting at Trungle Parc between the sides.

A Brief History of Mousehole AFC
Mousehole Association Football Club were originally founded in 1922 and played at a local level for the best part of 40 years before joining the Cornwall Combination League in 1960. They remained in the league for 47 years, twice finishing as runners-up in 1985/86 and 2006/07. Mousehole were promoted to the South West Peninsula League Division One West on its formation in 2007 finishing in 3rd place in their first season. The Seagulls won the Division One West title in 2015/16 and after a league restructure in 2018, were placed in the Premier Division West. Based on their results in the abandoned seasons of 2019/20 and 2020/21 (due to the coronavirus pandemic), Mousehole were promoted to the Western League Premier Division. The club finished 3rd in 2021/22 before winning the Western League title in 2022/23 and promotion for the first time to the Southern League. Their first season in Division One South ended with an impressive fifth place finish and a semi final defeat to Frome Town in the play-offs. Last season they finished the season in 6th place.
