Bideford vs Dorchester Town
Southern League Division One South
Saturday 29th September 2026
7:45pm kick off
The Persimmon Homes Sports Ground, Bideford

We’re quickly back in action at home once again on Tuesday night, and it’s another big test as one of the promotion favourites Dorchester Town are the visitors to North Devon.

We finally got our first win of the campaign on Saturday after a really good second half performance to come from a goal down to beat an in-form Hartpury side. Jordan Ewing’s headed equaliser from a Harley Sneap cross was quickly followed by Finn King-Smith’s first goal for the club, giving us a vital three points despite being reduced to 10 men late on.

An even tougher challenge faces us now in the shape of Dorchester who are currently in 3rd place having won five of their six games so far. The Magpies head to the Sports Ground off the back of a really good 4-1 win against Exmouth on Saturday, bouncing back after heading out of the FA Cup to National League North(?) side Oxford City.

Our last meeting with Dorchester was in last season’s FA Trophy 3rd Qualifying Round at the Avenue Stadium, which was not a good day for us as we were beaten 4-0. Prior to that, the last meeting in the league was way back in 2016 when we were pipped 3-2 at the Sports Ground. Matt Andrew and Nick Milton were on target for us that night.
