Having reflected on this and having discussed it at our recent meeting, the club committee has decided that this might not necessarily be the right thing to do.

So what is happening?

With effect from 1 July and as an interim measure the club fees for ALL playing members will be £180 (£15/month).

In the background the committee will be doing some further work on financial modelling and forecasting.

By 1 September we will confirm the final membership fees for the year.

So, if you are a playing member who doesn’t currently pay £15 per month, please amend your standing order with effect from July.

Any member who has already paid their annual membership fee as a single payment, that will be honoured by the club and no additional payment is needed. Anyone who wishes to pay a single payment now, please note this must be £180.

Please also note that this change to the membership fee structure also means that all members who are otherwise eligible to do so (subject to the RFU’s participation policies) will be able to train and play for both the contact and touch teams as they so choose.

Finally, any member who is worried about the membership cost, please speak to us. We need subs to run the club, but I would also never want money to be a barrier to someone being part of this amazing queer community of ours.
