Birstall U8's v Whinmoor Warriors

Despite the cold weather both sets of players put in some fantastic performances. Jack Pickles was singled out for his performance by both coaches for his 4 tries and his exceptional tackle count of 27 tackles. This led to him collecting the Top Tackler award and the first Opposition Man of the Match.

The other Opposition Man of theMatch went to the very impressive Harley Aston who also collected the Man of the Match award from his own team for his 4 tries and 22 tackles. His strong running was also highlighted by both sets of coaches.

Birstall Victoria's second Man of the Match went to the powerful Jack Kirkaldy whos strong running and masterful tackling saw him finish the game with 4 tries and a haul of 15 tackles.

The 100% Effort award went to the ever improving Alfie Davison who as well as 25 tackles managed to get over for 2 tries. His support play was particularly good as he stayed on the shoulder of Pickles and made some brilliant runs.

There were also very good performances from Sam Whiteley, Harley Trapps and Charlie Orr who all added to Victoria's try count. There was also some very strong runs from birthday boy Billy West.
