Under 11’s v Keighley Albion 07/05/2016

In the first half Birstall crossed for two tries. Strong carries from Jamie, Joe and Cameron gave good field position which enabled Verne to kick the ball cross field, which in turn found Billy, who almost got his first try. Cohan then scooted in from dummy half. Brandon and Harry T showed some strong defensive skills. The second came from Thomas, who took advantage of some great ball handling when the pass found him out wide.

The second period saw Birstall go downhill and they used this to good advantage scoring four tries. Verne went over for two tries and he showed his great footwork again to evade the defence. Aaron crossed for his first try of the season when Verne again kicked cross field. Aaron fantastically caught the pin pointed kick and grounded it in the in-goal area in one motion. Harry A also crossed for the final try when he dashed in from 20 meters out.

Thomas kicked 1 of the 6 goal attempts.
