As per the first meeting of the season, both sides were evenly matched throughout and the match was a good spectacle for those in attendance.

Birstall scored three first half tries. Brandon was able to evade defenders on his way to the line. Jack scored a brace, the first being from a great line break with the second being from some good passing moves.

The second half saw Birstall score two tries. Verne just great footwork to sidestep defenders and create a gap fro him to sprint through. Billy bagged his first try in Red & Black when he reacted first to a Verne kick which had bounced off the crossbar. The whole team ran in to celebrate with and showed great team spirit.

Thomas kicked 3 goals.
