Following on from Saturday's abandoned game due to player injury, our next should have seen us face Jarrow FC at the Robinson Heating & Plumbing Stadium tomorrow night.
Unfortunately, after the heavy rain, our pitch is unplayable so instead of postponing the game, we've asked about the possibility of reversing the fixture to Jarrow's ground, something they have thankfully agreed to.
So tomorrow night, we'll head to Perth Green, NE32 4AQ to face Jarrow who we faced in the last game of the 18/19 season where a late goal looked to have won it for the home side. Tony Smith had other ideas though and duly equalised deep into stoppage time to take a share of the spoils.
Our last five league encounters against Jarrow are listed below; two draws in the Northern League with the other three ties resulting in one Jarrow win, one Birtley win and one draw.
21.02.04 | Jarrow 0-1 Birtley Town | Wearside League |
01.09.04 | Jarrow 2-2 Birtley Town | Wearside League |
19.04.06 | Jarrow 1-0 Birtley Town | Wearside League |
06.01.07 | Jarrow 1-1 Birtley Town | Northern League 2 |
20.04.19 | Jarrow 2-2 Birtley Town | Northern League 2 |
Jarrow began the new season with 5-1 away win against Brandon United but have since suffered two defeats, 3-1 away to Willington and a 5-0 reverse at home to Washington on Saturday and find themselves in 13th place.
Kick off is now at 7:30pm and admission prices are £5 for Adults and £3 for Concessions.
