The hosts started brightly and had the lead early on Archie Haskayne’s long range effort was deflected onto the crossbar and Jake Rhodes was in acres of space to poke home the rebound.
The lead was doubled shortly afterwards when Kieran Alder capitalised on a poor pass at the back and slid Jack Watts through who placed his shot low into the bottom corner to make it 2-0 after quarter of an hour.
It was then 3-0 after twenty minutes when Blaine Waugh’s feet were to quick for Syd Camper who took out the Cleeve man in the area and Watts stepped up to convert the spot kick.
It was then 4-0 just before half time when good work on the left saw Watts cross the ball for Rhodes to grab his second of the match.
Clevedon made their final two substitutions at half time and this seemed to help them make a good start to the second half as they finally tested Sam Gilder in the Cleeve goal who had to produce two fine saves.
Both sides also saw penalty claims for handball waved away early on in the half with Clevedon needing a goal to give them a glimmer of hope. However it was Cleeve who got the goal on the hour mark to make it 5-0 when Mitre of the Match Kieran Alder pulled the ball back to Haskayne who fired in a shot in off the upright from outside the box.
With a quarter of an hour to go the visitors did pull one back from the penalty spot when Ethan Feltham was fouled by Haskayne and sub Ollie Babington stepped up to score, but on a bad day for the visitors the sub then had to go off injured and leave them with ten men.
Cleeve then made it 6-1 on the stroke of full time when Leroy Odiero headed in at the far post from a corner.
Cleeve’s next match is on Tuesday evening at home to Fairford Town.
