The Mitres controlled the game early on playing down the slope but struggled to create anything clear cut until Ethan Dunbar headed just over from Jay Malshanskyj’s cross.
The opening goal came on the half hour when Dunbar’s shot was parried to Ross Langworthy who was fouled as he went to shoot. Langworthy then stepped up to convert and give the visitors a deserved lead.
The Mitres continued to look good going forward but North Leigh’s long ball played dividends when Lynton Goss got in behind the defence and did well to score past Lewis Clayton to leave the visiting support a bit deflated at half time.
The hosts started the second half brightly and it took some resolute defending with the entire back line putting in an excellent shift.
The Mitres then managed to retake the lead when Jacob Geddes slid in at the back post from a corner to the delight of the away support.
Whilst the hosts continued to test the Cleeve defence attacking down the slope they were unable to break through meaning the Mitres progressed to the 1st Qualifying Round in consecutive seasons
