Cleeve had early chances with Jay Malshanskyj seeing a shot saved and then a Cleeve corner was headed off the line. Laverstock & Ford also went close through Carson Arnold.
Then in the eleventh minute it looked like the visitors might go down to ten men when Jordan Matthews lashed out at Ross Langworthy but only a yellow was given.
The sides continued to exchange chances and as half time approached it was the visitors who made one count as the captain Adam Bourner shot low into the far corner.
