Bishops Cleeve are back in FA Cup action this weekend, as the Mitres make a trip to Hallen A.F.C.
Cleeve are coming off two wins this season, with a 1-0 win over Larkhall to start off the season and a ten-goal thriller at Didcot on Tuesday.
The Mitres will be hoping for another success story in the cup this year, as last year’s tournament provided the club with their biggest ever result in history with a 3-0 win against National League South side Torquay United.
Cleeve was eventually knocked out in a replay against Chesham United in the third preliminary round, which saw them lose 4-0, but many of the Mitres faithful will be hoping for another successful cup run.
The opposition
Hallen currently competes in the Hellenic League Premier Division and has started off the season without a league win, drawing two and losing two.
The Bristol-based side defeated Highworth Town 1-0 in the extra preliminary round for the opportunity to take on Cleeve this Saturday, and they will once again be hoping to get away from their league form and cause a shock at the MB Frames stadium.
The two sides have played each other twice, with the Mitres coming out on top both times with a 1-3 away win in 2021 and a 4-1 win at Kayte Lane in 2022.
