Bishops Cleeve are back this weekend after having the last one off, as they will be travelling down south to take on Fareham Town.

The Mitres were successful in their FA trophy clash two weeks ago, defeating Willand Rovers with a thrilling penalty shootout. Meanwhile, Fareham defeated Beaconsfield Town 4-1 to qualify for the second qualifying round.

Cleeve didn’t play last weekend due to Brixham winning their FA Cup tie against Falmouth, leaving Cleeve without a match after their earlier defeat to Wimborne Town.

The Mitres are still 2nd in the league even though they’ve been out of action since their 2-0 bank holiday win over Inkberrow, which was on the 25th of August.

Fareham have had an average start to their season, playing 5, winning twice, losing twice and drawing once, leaving them mid-table.

The Creeksiders were promoted last season, as they defeated Andover New Street 2-1 in the Wessex League Premier Division playoff final. As a reward for that, Fareham were promoted to the Isitham League South Central Division, where they currently compete.

The two sides have never had a competitive fixture against each other, leaving this as the first time the two sides will meet.
