The hosts took the lead in the opening 10 when a freekick on the right ended up with Josh Webber clear far on the left and he smashed it back across the goal into the bottom corner
The lead was doubled on the quarter hour mark when Charlie Wright was in open space to smash in the cross and give the Mitres a mountain to climb.
The hosts continued to win the majority of the 50/50s preventing Cleeve from being able to create too much and just as the visitors were looking to get in and re-group at half time the hosts looked to have sealed the three points when Kieran Bailey’s shot trickled in at the near post with the help of a deflection. Whilst the hosts went in 3-0 up at half time it was a harsh scoreline on Cleeve.
The second half however was much less even with the hosts just continuing to press in numbers and not allow Cleeve any time on the ball and their dominance showed as, just after the hour mark, Wright blasted in from another cross to make it 4-0.
Cleeve’s next match is the ‘Colly’ derby at home to Evesham, Monday at 3pm
