Bishops Cleeve are hoping to keep their league unbeaten run going, as they take on Shaftesbury in a key clash for the Mitres.
Paul Collicut’s men are unbeaten in the league with six wins and two draws, putting the Mitres in third place, two points away from league leaders Malvern.
Cleeve drew 1-1 with Swindon Supermarine on Tuesday. Josh Nelmes scored the only goal for Cleeve in the first half. It was a controversial matchup, which saw Cleeve have a goal that went over the line that wasn’t allowed and Swindon have a late penalty call that the referee waved away.
Ross Langworthy will be hoping to get on the scoresheet with 14 goals in 14 games for Cleeve this season.
The Mitres will be hoping to continue their unbeaten run on Saturday against an in-form Shaftesbury side, who find themselves one place outside the playoff positions.
The Rockies have won their last two games, beating bottom-of-the-league Didcot Town, 2-1, and they defeated Bristol Manor Farm 3-0 on Tuesday.
The two sides have faced off with each other quite a bit, with Cleeve winning 3-1 in the away fixture last season and 3-1 at Kayte Lane.
Paul Colllicut’s men will be hoping to continue their streak of wins against the Rockies this season and get themselves back to the top of the table this Saturday, with Frome in second just behind them with a point.
