The Mitres came out of Saturday's match against Bristol Manor Farm the victors, with a Ross Langworthy brace and a Toby Holland penalty spearheading Cleeve to all three points and upping their league unbeaten streak to 11.

Captain Langworthy has kept up his impressive goalscoring streak with 16 goals in 17 games, being a shining light in what has been a very impressive attacking forefront for the Mitres this season, including the likes of Jay Malshanskyj, Toby Holland and Jack Watts.

Cleeve see themselves in third place before tonight’s fixture, with Froome Town and Portishead in front of Paul Collicutt’s men. Portishead are top and currently have a four-point lead on the Mitres, with this weekend's fixture being huge, especially with Cleeve having two games in hand.

Meanwhile, Melksham haven’t enjoyed their start to the season, as they see themselves in the relegation zone with Brixham, Tavistock and Bristol Manor Farm all following them into the pile.

The Town are yet to have won away this season, only managing two draws in six games when they're not on home turf.

The visitors haven’t won a game of football since their September clash with Falmouth, which saw The Town win 5-1. Since then, they haven’t been able to get all three points, with their later outing against league leaders Portishead turning out to be a 4-0 demolition job.

Melksham will have to put in a big performance if they are to bring down an on-fire Cleeve side.

Historically, however, Melksham has a better record in terms of when the two sides have played each other.

The Mitres have been unable to beat the Town in their last four matchups, as the last time the Mitres were able to beat them was back in January 2024 with a thumping 6-1 victory. Meanwhile, in last season’s matchups, Melksham won 1-0 on their home turf, while the points were shared in the return fixture with a 0-0 matchup.
