Bishops Cleeve will only have to travel 14 miles this weekend for their match, as they take on newly promoted side Hartpury.
Cleeve will be hoping to go on a Christmas run, as a 2-1 win over Willand last weekend sees the Mitres extend their unbeaten run to four games.
Curtis Jemmet-Hutson was the goalscorer to give Cleeve three points on that day, with the Mitre sitting outside the playoffs on goal difference from Shaftesbury.
Meanwhile, Hartpury have had a good start to life in the Southern League South Division, sitting in ninth place.
The Acorns are known for their sporting excellence, especially in equestrian sports and rugby. Matt Liddiard and Curtis Jemmett-Hutson are just some of the Cleeve players who got their education from the school.
Hartpury’s recent form has seen them unbeaten in their last five with three wins and two draws, a streak the Mitres will be hoping to stop.
The home side are doing a special offer on Saturday, as fans can pay what they want at the gate. Meaning anybody can watch the game from giving a penny to a thousand pounds if you wanted to!
The two sides have never played in a competitive fixture before, as it will be a new ground and a new challenge for Paul Collicutt’s side, who will be hoping to charge into a playoff position with a win this Saturday.
