It’s a new year, and Bishops Cleeve are back in action this weekend, as the Mitres return to Kayte Lane to take on Inkberrow.
The Mitres were on the losing side last Saturday, as Hartpury put three past a Paul Collicutless Cleeve who wasn’t there due to illness.
But this week the gaffer will return to the dugout, and Cleeve will be looking to prove a point, as they look to come back from the Acorns victory.
Cleeve find themselves just outside the playoff spots once again, with a win potentially putting the Mitres into the coveted spots.
The visitors only have a 29-mile trip to Kayte Lane on Saturday, and they will be hoping to rally on from an impressive 1-1 draw with Malvern Town last weekend.
The recently promoted side have impressed lately, with the Eagles finding themselves only losing one in their last five, and they’ve placed themselves 12th in the table.
It’s been a fairytale run for the club in the last couple of seasons, which has seen them promoted three seasons in a row from step 7 to step 4, a record they will be hoping to keep on going.
Last time out saw Cleeve run out 2-0 winners at Sands Lane with Ross Langworthy and Curtis Jemmett-Hutson both on the score sheet. The Mitres will be hoping it will go the same way this Saturday.
