Bishops Cleeve will be hoping to get back on the winning wagon this weekend, as they take on bottom-of-the-league Tavistock.
The Mitres were defeated 4-0 last weekend against top-of-the-table side Frome, which saw the Mitres put themselves five points off fifth-place Shaftesbury.
Cleeve are hoping to go to the other end of the table to look for points with the Lambs at the bottom of the Southern League South Division One on 13 points.
The home side haven’t won a game since October, which was a 1-0 win over Bashley, as Tavistock have only managed three wins this season, which came against Falmouth and Mousehole.
Tavistock faced Melksham Town on Thursday night, falling to a 2-0 defeat courtesy of goals from Elliott Haffenden and Levi Irving.
It won’t be an easy test, however, for Cleeve, as in the seven times the two sides have previously met, Cleeve have won four, including a 3-0 win in August which saw Lewis Spurrier on the scoresheet and a Ross Langworthy brace to seal all three points, but the opposition have won three times.
