Bishops Cleeve head into tomorrow nights game at Brimscombe looking to maintain their good start to the league campaign.
Steve Cleal's side currently sit second in the table with 9pts from their first 4 games having won 4-0 (Tuffley) 6-1 (Shrivenham) and 4-1 (longlevens) since opening day defeat to (Ardley 2-1) and a win would see them close the gap to 1pt on leaders Binfield at this early stage.
With those 3 wins all coming at home manager Steve Cleal is hoping that they can continue to the run on their travels to last seasons runners up. Last year the Mitres had an impressive away record including wins at Binfield, Brackley and here last season and manager Cleal is looking for his side to get their first away points of the season.
"We have been playing well and scoring goals which is always a good sign and even in our two defeats this season we had spells in the game which we failed to make count. We've got goals in the team and although Jack (watts) has 10 we have had 7 different players on the score sheet this season which is a good thing, Brimscombe will be a difficult place to go it was last year and it will be again this and they proved that with their result Saturday and we know we have to be at our very best to get something out of the game"
Cleal has slight injury concerns over Elliott Kennedy (Groin) Liam Wright (Hamstring) and Adam Mace (Ankle) as all three missed Saturdays training session although the enforced early break has allowed Mikey Davis time to recover from the niggle that kept him out of last weekends games.
Harrison Iddles is still a few weeks away following his ankle injury picked up in the win over Malmesbury and Rich Thwaite will be available for the last time before he starts a 3 game ban from a red card picked up for Horsely last year.
Brimscombe have endured an indifferent start to the season and are yet to win a league game picking up 2pts from their first 4 matches but reports suggest they have deserved more than their return and will be looking to kick start their season with a win over a fellow Gloucestershire based side
kick off at the Meadow - 7.45pm
