Cleeve played against the wind in the first half which allowed Gala Wilton to dictate the game for most of the first half.

With only 8 mins on the clock Cleeve had a major setback when Sam Locke was judged by the referee to have handled the ball on the goal line and received a straight red card. Gala scored from the resultant penalty.

The rest of the first half was spent with Cleeve defending against Gala and the windy conditions.

Just as most Cleeve spectators were hoping they would keep it at one nil until half time, Gala got a break on 44 mins and scored from a low hard drive from the edge of the area.

Second half Cleeve came out and immediately were on the front foot, causing the Gala Keeper to make some excellent saves.

On 65 mins a long throw-in by Alec Buckland was flicked on by Seb Luke which resulted with the Gala defender knocking it past his own keeper.

Within minutes Cleeve had a lucky break when the Referee awarded them a penalty which was calmly despatch by Alex Sarr.

Only a great save by the Gala keeper kept out a free kick by Alec Buckland which was heading for the top corner when he flew across to tip it over the bar.

James Trigg in the Cleeve goal also made some fantastic saves as Gala re-grouped and pushed for a winner; however, he could do nothing to stop the Gala 3rd goal which was deflected into left side as he dived right

Cleeve again picked themselves back up and attacked Gala goal and from a punch out by the keeper which went straight to Alex Powell who hammered his shot, first time past the Gala keeper.
