An Adam Mahdi double plus further goals from Kyle Tooze and Kyle Box, saw Bishop Sutton clock up an impressive 4-0 win over visiting Radstock Town.

Our first Friday night fixture of the season attracted a crowd of 115 to face our long time local rivals Radstock Town.

With Adam Crooks being unavailable, keeper Chris Manns took the captain’s armband behind Kalum Withey having completed his suspension slotting in at right back, Kai Long, Nathan Rendell, Will Brant, Frankie Carr, Kieran Ireland, Kyle Tooze, Adam Madhi, Frank Gingell and Dzhosh Islayam.

On the bench , Oakley Rawlings, George Snowden, Danny Carr and Kyle Box.

From the first whistle, we played in a lively manner, keeping Radstock on the back foot, playing arguably our best football of the season. We opened the scoring on 22 minutes, a cross from the right found Madhi who shot across the goal, the ball going in off the inside of the right post. Two minutes later, the same player was played in on the left, controlled the ball with good skill and shot powerfully and accurately to give the Radstock keeper no chance.

On the half hour mark, a swift attack down the right hand side was clinically finished by Tooze with a spectacular drive.

Half Time Bishop Sutton 3 Radstock Town 0

We made a half time sub, Box replacing Islayam. On 65 minutes Madhi came close again striking the right upright then ten minutes from time, Box picked up the ball outside the area, beat two defenders and scored inside the left post.

On 83 minutes Tooze was replaced by Rawlings.

Our Man of the Match, Adam Madhi for a clinical goalscoring display. A very satisfying result against a team well up in the league.

Next up, another home game, next Saturday 28th September v Almondsbury.
