With the weather looking like it would be a determining factor in providing a low scoring game. All pre match thoughts went out of the window by full time with over 80 points being scored in total.

Rochdale certainly started the better with 2 scores in the first 5 minutes making it look like it could be a long day ahead for Burn. To their credit Burn steadied the ship and managed to end the half ahead on the score board.

It looked like Burn would pull away with an early score at the start of the second half, but just allowed Rochdale to keep within a couple of scores. To Rochdale’s credit they made Blackburn play for the full 80 minutes. In the end Blackburn were victorious 39-45 and took another 5 points away from the game.

Some noticeable performances from the Blackburn players and some laser like kicking from Owen Pye meant it was 2 on the bounce!
