A familiar face, Rhodri Lloyd, returns for a full season at ‘Burn after joining part way through last year’s campaign and brings with him a wealth of experience and rugby knowledge. He learnt his trade in the 13 man game, playing rugby league for Widness, Wigan Warriors and Swinton Lions. His obvious quality clearly stood out and led the proud Welshman to represent his country 20 times.
“I’m really excited to be joining Blackburn for the season ahead. It’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a while, moving over to union and playing a bit of rugby as it’s something I played as a child.”
Rhodri is a popular character around the club, and I am really pleased to say that he feels at home here. We look forward to seeing more of his wife Bethan and boys Ralph and Fred.
