Week 4 of the 6 Nations saw some close games with the biggest winning margin just being 10 points. As with other weeks, one match caught quite a few people out, this week was England v Italy, with many predicting a much larger winning margin for England. However, A Sainsbury & A Walker were not caught out as they predicted a 19-14 victory to England, this helped them to score the lowest points of the week, with a total of just 19 points. This is the joint lowest score of any other week, congratulations to the duo, please let us know how you wish to collect your winnings. Jim Ball was just 1 point behind, after Jim came the ladies, with Janet Eccles, Esther & Sandra and Sophia Miller coming 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively. At the other end of the table Mark Taylor had a personal high, as he scored 110 points, also the bottom 4 included 2 regular first team players, Gareth Bullen and Richard Maudsley, it just goes to show those who don’t know play, while those who don’t play know!

In the overall standings we have a new leader with just one week to go, Peter Clancy jumped from third into first place, he overtakes Simon Parker who drops to second. After the last round Simon had a 21 point lead on Peter, so this just goes to show how things can change. With a similar swing in the final round then this could mean any of the top 13 could top the table. However, you just never know the swing could be bigger, so all is still to play for, although I am quite confident in ruling out one predictor and of course that is Mark Taylor who continues to have his ‘No Vacancies’ sign up on his bottom spot.
