BLACKBURN COLTS RETURN TRIUMPHANTLY

Burn Junior Colts returned home triumphant after an emphatic performance in the Raging Bull Colts League Plate final against Tyldesley at Eccles.

The Burn lads won 24 13 after having dominated the game from start to finish and scored 4 excellent tries; three from line outs and fourth from a fine set play move from the backs. Those who watched will agree we played some outstanding rugby and indeed we had many more chances to score that were thwarted only by some excellent tackling from the Tyldesley full back.

I received a call tonight from the coach of another Junior Colts team team who witnessed all the games on the day and he said that with the exception of Wilmslow who won the cup aided by England internationals that we played the best rugby of the day.......! All 18 lads involved on the day played superbly and did themselves, the Colts team and Blackburn RUFC proud.

Well done lads, our winning Plate run reads as follows: P 4, W 4, scored 128 conceded 47 beating Bolton, Oldham, New Brighton and Tyldesley.
