6s lose but bank maximum bonus points

The 6s looked set for crushing early season win over NatWest until a middle order, shorn of regular players, were exposed to some clinical NatWest bowling.

Skipper Will Howlett elected to bowl and seamers James Morrison, Sam Tobin ad Arif Ahmed kept NatWest in check. From 100-5 NatWest fell to 100 all out as the returning Morrison and Vinodh Venkatraman wrapped up the innings.

The 6s made an explosive start as Venkatraman and 'keeper David Parker raced to 20 off of two over. 'Heath were cruising at 56-1 when the second wicket fell in the 13th over. By now NatWest had discovered the key to bowling in Charlton Park, claiming regular wickets. Sadman Ahmed threatened to turn the tide with a mature innings but he was stranded when last man Alan Bosworth was bowled with 9 runs required for a win.
