Blackpool looks back on a season of highs and lows.

Blackpool held their presentation evening last weekend, with Brady Barcock scooping three awards on the night, including the highly coveted Player’s Player Award.

Last season was full of highs and lows as the club just missed out on a third promotion in four seasons following defeat on the last day. That being said there was plenty to celebrate and that is exactly what the players did as they descended on Dirty Blondes Cocktail Bar in Blackpool.

Blackpool’s number eight, Brady Barcock dominated proceedings, much like he has on the pitch all season, adding the Coach’s Player and Top Try Scorer awards to his collection. Other notable winners were James Hunt, who relieved his brother of the Young Player of the Year trophy and Mark Roper who scooped the Most Improved Player award.

Away from the onfield recognition, Adam Glover was recognised for his off-field commitments with the Club Person of the Year trophy in his last season and Liz Ainscough received the Captain’s Award for her support with the club’s social media presence as well as supporting the club in various other ways.

The club captain, Chris Parlour, was himself recognised, winning the Chairman’s Award for his overall dedication to the running of the club which goes far and beyond captaining the team on the pitch.

Following the evening, Club Chairman, Sean O’Brien commented: “This was a fantastic season with a bitter ending for this team. However, when you consider where we are now to where we were just a few years ago, there is plenty to celebrate. I would just like to congratulate all of the award winners, all of which were thoroughly well deserved.”
