With the summer rapidly approaching, Blackpool Sea Eagles are set to embark on another season of rugby league action with 2013 marking a new era for the club as they return back to Mossom Lane, home of Blackpool RUFC and the venue for the some of the club’s first ever games. It will be almost ten years since the Sea Eagles, formed in 2002, called the Bispham ground home, however club secretary Paul Clark felt the timing was right adding “This is something that we have been building towards for a while and the support received from everyone at Blackpool RUFC has been fantastic. We feel that this move can be beneficial to both clubs in the long term”. Blackpool will once again compete in the North West Men’s league entry division, with training set to begin on Wednesday 24th April at 7pm, with new and old players (aged 16+) welcome.
