And we are off with Blofield having elected to kick off the first half playing towards the Yarmouth end.

Woodie had got caught out of position on the edge of the box and a Dereham player had got in behind him and crossed low to Danny Beaumont who was all on his own inside the 6 yard area except for Sean Brown on the line. Sean made a fantastic block to deny
Sizz on the attack!
He is still going. After this photo he passed to Nick but he wasn't able to monopolise on Sizz's efforts as he was quickly closed down by the Dereham defence.
No wonder the Dereham defenders look worried, Lee was inches away from converting this effort.

What a save! Woodie gets down and palms the ball round the post for a corner. This was the closest either side had come to a goal.
There are no prizes for guessing who got the ball!

These two were combatants all afternoon. On this occasion Neil takes the ball off Danny.
Sean rises highest to head a way a dangerous cross.
Another good move by Blofield. Sizz is racing in to pick up a possible loose ball.

Kris looks up to link with midfield while Paddy quietly voices his opinion. Yet to capture the Rattler in action.
Woodie comes out to claim the ball.

There was only ever going to be one winner in this contest. The man on the side line is quite impressed as well.

Start of the second half and Dereham get the half underway.
Even with 2 players on him Danny keeps possession for the Beavers.
I had to include this. Sizz's expression is priceless. It typifies the effort he and the other lads put in during the match.
Kris is determined that the Dereham player is not going to get past him- and he didn't!
This was mighty close as Kenny Reeves misses the target.
This time Kenny comes up against Kris. The tall centre forward opts to lay the ball off thus his team keep possession.
To the relief of all those in red and black the Dereham player heads the ball into row Z from the corner.
Sizz in the thick of it once more. Lee and Sizz developed a good understanding throughout the game.
Nick has been put through by Sizz and is bearing down on the Dereham goal.
That man Danny Beaumont is causing all sorts of problems for the Beavers defence.
Danny Mac helps out yet again!
At the other end Blofield are causing the Dereham defence all sorts of problems. Keeper Marshall can only manage to palm the ball into the side netting for another corner.
Goal. Dereham get the equaliser.Woodie had no chance from the header by Downes. Their supporter looks happy! Blofield United 1 Dereham Town 1

Kris intercepts the ball and heads it away.

What a fantastic save! Look at the crowds reaction .
Neil powers in a header which unfortunately for Blofield, the keeper saves.
The Dereham player is clean through for a 1 on 1 with Woodie
However Woodie manages to save the shot with his legs!
Yet again Woodie denies the Dereham sub.
Sizz shows all his experience in preventing the Dereham attack progressing any further.
And just to show the youngsters how its done he then proceeds to bring the ball out of defence.
Goal! Having been put through by Danny Mac, Neil very calmly beats the keeper.
The anguish for Dereham. Oliver Thomson holds his head in despair while Neil reels round to the left to celebrate. Blofield United 2 Dereham Town 1
The delight for the Blofield players. High 5's!
Goal. For the second time Dereham conjour up an equaliser. This just a minute after Blofield had taken the lead again. Woodie is unable to get to the ball and Dereham capitalise on this. Blofield United 2 Dereham Town 2
This is the moment Danny Mac thought he had scored. The referee and linesman were unconvinced.

Tension for the Beavers as Dereham mount one last attack. From a corner Blofield cannot clear their lines and the ball falls kindly to sub Kelleher who shoots.
Goal!. Despite everyones best efforts Dereham convert this move as the match moves into time added on. Blofield United 2 Dereham Town 3
Woody comes out to play in midfield! Even with an empty net Dereham were not able to add to their tally and the match finished 2-3 in their favour.
