About us

Bodicote Cricket Club
Based in the village of Bodicote, just South of Banbury in North Oxfordshire. Sadly, for the 2025 season we have been forced to play our home matches at the very hospitable Broughton and North Newington CC, the address of their ground is shown on each of our home fixtures.

We run a Saturday team that plays in Division One of the South Northants Cricket League, a well run league and which means travel to away games is not too far. Games are 40 overs a-side. In addition we have some midweek friendlies and the occasional Sunday game, plus we embark on a summer tour.

During the summer midweek practice is held on Monday evenings, 6.15 pm at Bodicote's "other" club, Banbury CC which can be found just over the hedge.

We can often be found in the Horse & Jockey for post-match entertainment including fines based on the day’s proceedings and earlier on teas are taken here.

As well as regular fixtures the club also organises a number of social events during the year. We also tour annually and through this have ensured the club appears in cricket's bible Wisden - see page 911 of the 1994 edition which notes we lost to Elizabeth College Guernsey in June 1993.

We enjoy the game and like a beer. We are competitive but don’t take things too seriously. We can find a slot whatever your standard. If you would like to join our club please contact bodicotecc@yahoo.com
