Caergybi through in Car Boot!

Caergybi visited Cae Cob in the Car Boot Cup.Both teams opened brightly but on 7 minutes Caergybi were awarded a free kick outside the Juniors penalty box which Dewi Thomas despatched into the net. The Juniors stood firm for the rest of the half as Caergybi tried to press home their advantage. Edwards for the Juniors went close on 17 minutes and on 23 minutes Gerwyn Williams headed goalwards but Weeks was on hand. On 24 minutes Morris was free but fired his shot just wide for the Juniors. On 26 minutes Andrews fired a free kick over the Cybi crossbar. On 28 minutes Liam Williams for Cybi fired goalwards but the ball squirmed just wide. As the half ended North for Cybi went close on two occasions.Half Time 0v1. The second half opened with Cybi attacking and Ryan fired wide on 50 minutes however on 55 minutes he was on hand to tap in an effort. Cybi continued to attack and Thomas went close on 60 minutes but on 62 minutes Ryan was on hand again to head home from close range. The Juniors tried their utmost to get on the scoreboard but on 70 minutes Ian Williams netted for Cybi. On 82 minutes Ryan gained his hattrick as he pounced on a poor defensive clearance to score. On 85 minutes Liam Williams scored for Cybi to cap a man of the match performance. Cybi fully deserved the win but the Juniors for 60 minutes gave a solid performance and made a game of it despite the score. For the Juniors Edwards and Griffiths gave their best and starred however Williams for Cybi was head and shoulders in another league. Final Score 0v6.
