Juniors gain point in scrappy affair!

Last gasp equalizer!
Llanfairpwll late entrants to the league were the visitors at Cae Cob. Both teams struggled to master a stiff breeze blowing across the pitch. However on 7 minutes Gardiner was fouled and Aron Edwards for the Juniors went close from the free kick. On 15 minutes Morris went close for PG. Both teams needed to place their foot on the ball and pass but the ball pinged backwards and forwards with no end result. On 32 minutes though the Juniors strung passes together and created a chance which Allaway placed wide. The Juniors had a period of attacking play but created few clear cut chances but Hallas on 40 minutes fired a shot over the bar. Half Time 0v0. Both teams would settle for the score but both midfields needed to play some football and start passing the ball. The Juniors in the second half attacked from the start and dominated the first minutes but PG fired the ball forward to find Morris in space and he netted on 50 minutes. The Juniors went looking for the equalizer and on 64 minutes Allaway went close then Gardiner fired over the bar on 66 minutes. The Juniors continued to attack and on 68 minutes Aron Owen headed wide as did Gardiner on 70 minutes. PG packed their defence and appeared to have gained the points but on 88 minutes Rhodri Williams broke forward and crossed the ball towards Allaway and Gardiner in space but a PG defender stuck out a hand deliberately stopping the ball and a penalty was awarded. From the spot kick Allaway scored to equalize. In the final minutes the Juniors went looking for the winner but to no avail .Both teams gained a point in a very forgettable match but for the Juniors Aron Edwards and Luke Gardiner gave of their best to get the Juniors playing football.
