Cefni Master Elements!

On a wintery afternoon the Juniors travelled to Beach Road to face Cefni. From the off the weather affected both teams but Cefni mastered it better and on 5 minutes Ben Wright went close. This was a sign for the Juniors but they didn't alter their pattern of play to stop the attacks and on 12 minutes Nathan Lewis was sent clear and he netted well. The Juniors attacked and on 15 minutes Arwel Griffiths fired goalwards but Taylor in the Cefni goal saved well. Both teams struggled to get a grip of the midfield but Cefni edged the battles and on 24 minutes Nathan Lewis went close for Cefni. On 30 minutes Allaway for the Juniors headed well from a free kick but Taylor was on hand to save. On 44 minutes Gerwyn Williams fired a free kick just wide for the Juniors. Half Time 1v0 . The second half opened in a similar form to the first half and on 48 minutes Nathan Lewis again went close. Cefni pressed for a second and on 57 minutes Wright from long range fired wide. On 65 minutes Cefni were awarded a penalty as both defender and attacker collided in the box . Marc Parry slotted home. Cefni pressed further and Roberts in the Juniors goal saved well on two occasions. The Juniors had opportunities to score late on but the chances were scorned. On 90 minutes Wright sealed the victory as he sprinted clear to score . Full Time 3v0. Cefni mastered the conditions well and battled well. Wright was their star on the day.As for the Juniors Gerwyn Williams had a good match in what might be his final display.
