Three goal blast seals win!

The Juniors travelled to Llanfair for their last league match of the season. Both teams languishing at the wrong end of the table hoped not to serve a bore draw which happened in the previous fixture between both clubs. At the start both battled for supremacy and it took 15 minutes to get the first strike on goal with Callum Jones for PG firing wide. On 23 minutes Rhodri Williams for the Juniors fired over but the deadlock was broken by Sion Davis on 25 minutes as he slotted PG in front. Ashley Jones created a chance for Allaway on 28 minutes but it was scorned. Pg then dominated until half time and on 40 minutes extended their lead as the ball bounced kindly to Shaun Morris who duly despatched the ball into the net. Half Time 2v0 . The Juniors in the early part of the second half got to grips with the situation and attacked and on 50 minutes the home keeper Hughes saved well from Gardiners free kick. On 52 minutes Aron Owen for the Juniors fired over. On 62 minutes from a poor goal kick Morris lobbed over for PG. Then on 64 minutes Gardiner latched onto a long range Aron Owen pass to expertly slot home for the Juniors.
On 69 minutes Gardiner was on hand again to slot home an equalizer. The Juniors had the upper hand but missed chances. As the game was drawing to an end Ryan Evans stepped up for a corner and the ball was headed out into his path and he blasted it goalwards into the net. Josh Roberts in the Juniors goal saved well on a couple of occasions to keep the score down as the Juniors played their substitutes. This appeared to affect the Juniors marking as from a corner on 84 minutes Ryan Evans slotted home again. On 88 minutes Evans completed his hattrick as he swivelled in the box to lash the ball home. The Juniors kept going and Allaway fired over at the end but it was PG's day. For PG Ryan Evans starred as his late hattrick sealed the points. Josh Roberts starred for the Juniors. The Juniors finished the season on a note of what could have been the game being a microcosm of their season ,falling behind playing well and levelling but losing it at the end, today, to a class hattrick which would have beaten better teams. The Juniors end their season in the first week in March as next season is the so called last season for the Anglesey League the Juniors will have to pull out all the stops!
