Teamwork and Super Passing game wins day!


The Juniors travelled to Hotspurs Reserves on a wet evening and the home side started brightly with Mike Jones firing wide on 3 minutes.The Hotspurs continued to pass the ball well but slowly the Juniors got into the match and Hallas went close on 20 minutes. The Juniors midfield slowly got on top and from a free kick well taken by Heycock who found Rees in space who broke free and scored on 25 minutes.Rees went close again on 27 minutes. Owen then sent Gardiner for the Juniors free and he fired goal wards only to see Morris manfully heading off the line.
On 33 minutes Hallas fired a free kick wide but on 35 minutes Gardiner latched onto a through ball and scored.On 37 minutes Mguire Jones went close for the Juniors. Hallas again went close on 39 minutes from a free kick. On 41 minutes Rees sent Mguire Jones free and he netted well for the Juniors.Two minutes later Mguire Jones was on the scoresheet again as he was sent through by Heycock and he slotted in well.On 45 minutes Rees headed just over from a corner. Half Time 0v4. Hotspurs started the second period brightly and on 57 minutes Phil Jones fired a long shot home.On 60 minutes Griffiths for the Juniors swept the ball to Heycock who set Gardiner free and he rounded the keeper to net for the Juniors. Hotspurs carried on playing their passing game and on 65 minutes Gregg went close.However the Juniors through Rees and Gardiner had chances which just went wide.On 69 minutes Batson had a long shot at the Juniors goal whilst Luke Jones fired wide.Gardiner and Mguire Jones had chances to extend the lead but missed the target.The Juniors used their subs as did Hotspurs and Williams went close for Hotspurs on 78 minutes whilst Mguire Jones went near on 80 minutes for the Juniors Both teams gave a good display of football and Gardiner starred for the Juniors whilst Phil Jones shone for the Hotspurs.The Juniors midfield gave a super show whilst the defence stood firm and chances were taken up front.
