Long Ball wins the day!

The Juniors travelled to Cae'r Gors to meet Mountain Rangers who were early leaders of the Anglesey League Table..Both teams tried to gain the midfield initiative to begin with and this was the pattern throughout the match.On 10 minutes Rangers went close through Cian Hughes and on 12 minutes Pleming went close.The Juniors attacked and Gardiners cross shot was well saved by Jason Hughes in the home goal.On 20 minutes Mguire went close for the Juniors but he sent his effort just wide.On 25 minutes a long ball found Declyn Williams free and he netted.On 31 minutes he nearly doubled his tally as his shot hit the post.The Juniors went close from a free kick as Mguire fired just wide.On 36 minutes Gareth Hughes fired over for the Juniors and as the half ended Allaway headed just over from a corner. Half Time 1v0. The second half saw the Juniors trying to equalize but both midfields had periods of pressure.On 67 minutes Gardiner fired just wide for the Juniors and on 70 minutes Mguire shot fiercely only for Hughes in the Rangers goal to save.On 72 minutes Hughes who shone in midfield for the Juniors went close but on 75 minutes Gardiner was set free in the box and he fired home to equalize. On 80 minutes Pleming gained the initiative for the Rangers as he stretched his leg out to guide a long clearance from the Keeper home. On 83 minutes Sam Williams was set free in the box and he duly scored.However both teams gave it 100% and the Juniors fought to the end and Gardiner squeezed his shot wide on 86 minutes.For Rangers Pleming shone whilst Gareth Hughes starred for the Juniors . It was a fine match with both teams trying to play attacking football.
