Following the loss of our cherished Club President Phil Mead the committee has invited Leighton Thomas to take on the role.
We are delighted that Leighton has agreed to become our Club President. Leighton has shown incredible commitment to the club over many years. As a player, captain, chairman, coach and Director of Rugby, the dedication and skills demonstrated in every role have been remarkable. We know that in undertaking the role Leighton will help ensure that the characteristics and principles that underpin our club will see it continue to grow and develop and contribute to the community.
Under the club’s regulations Leighton will initially fulfil the role until the club is able to hold our AGM. The role of Club President will then be decided by the club membership. A date for the AGM will be decided when covid regulations allow the membership to meet in larger numbers.
