This Monday the RFU cancelled all rugby in England from training to playing. Whilst the government (at the time of writing) has not closed all pubs and clubs it has strenuously recommended that people do not attend.

Whilst some people may want to still attend the club, we have a duty of care to all the volunteers who help make the lunches a fantastic event such as Bob May, Fitz, Alma, Mike Lewin, Bars Manager etc….

Given all the above we are left with no option but to cancel.

I hope that everyone (and their loved ones) who reads this mail will not suffer any of the predicted dire consequences of the virus and that we may all meet up as soon as possible at the club to raise a toast to successfully overcoming the Coronavirus, celebrate all that is good with Bognor RFC and take pleasure in the company of good friends.
