Boldon CA v Jarrow

Boldon CA welcome near neighbours Jarrow to the Boldon Colliery Welfare Ground tonight for the second South Tyneside derby of the season.

The visitors come into the game on the back of six wins in the Northern League second division with victories over Newcastle University (5-1), Billingham Town (1-0), Ryton & Crawcrook (1-0) as well as 3-0 wins over Grangetown BC and Washington. Last time out they recorded a 4-0 win over Redcar Town.

They currently sit in 2nd place in the league on 56 points, just three points behind the leaders with a games in hand. They also boast an impressive away record winning seven and drawing one of their nine away games

The Villa bounced back after three narrow defeats and one heavy loss by beating Bedlington Terriers away by five goals to one in an impressive performance from the side, last time out saw a 4-1 loss away to Newcastle University however the scoreline did not reflect the performance.

A 19th place in the standings with 19 points in what has been an indifferent season so far but as all football fans know form goes out of the window in these games.

The two sides met on the 14th August at Perth Green with Jarrow having maximum points from their opening five games and The Villa who had two draws and three defeats. A goal inside two minutes from former player Kai Charlton give Boldon CA the lead, however that goal was cancelled out by Lutfur Karim on twenty-four minutes as the teams had to settle for a 1-1 scoreline.

A 7:30pm kick off for tonight's game and we hope to see a good turnout with admission £5 Adults, £3 Concessions and under 16s free with an accompany adult.
