The Villa we're looking for a positive response from a bad result in midweek as they took on second place Esh Winning on Saturday.
First Half:
The visitors started on the front foot winning an early corner as Stores blocked an early shot.
The first big chance for the hosts saw Raby setup Da Silva whose effort was blocked, whilst at the other end Lovely headed an effort off the line as it remained stalemate at the break.
Half Time: Boldon CA 0 - Esh Winning 0
The second half was barely five minutes in when a cross to the back post saw Tarn head back across the box for Da Silva to attempt an over head kick, the ball came back out and McCall fired an effort over the bar.
At the other end Esh thought they had a penalty for handball, however the referee waved away their appeals.
Just before the hour there was a foul on Stores and the referee awarded a free kick, however when he consulted his assistant the correct decision of a penalty was awarded. Up stepped COLLINS who fired home from 12 yards.
The Villa came close to a second when Lovely found Da Silva but his effort struck the post
On 74 minutes Esh drew level after a foul in the box and JACKSON converted the resulting penalty.
Within a few minutes Lone was called into action making a great finger tip save to send the ball over the crossbar.
Neither side created to many big chances in the closing quarter of the game and the points we're shared.
