Under 17s/18s v Inter Macc

Unfortunately we had 5 players all unavailable today & then Theo cme down ill overnight, leaving Bolly with only 10 players. Despite the score though all 10 players deserve great credit, because for most of the game they all put in a massive anount of effort & commitment, just running out of steam at the end of each half. With such a skeleton squad today it also meant a few players had to play in unpreferred positions & a couple kept going despite knocks.
Will made his U11s league debut in goal, made some great saves & was unlucky on 3 or 4 of the goals. Ed also played out of position at left back but defended well, Ross did brilliantly in left midfield, doing some great tracking back & defensive work especially in the 1st half. Captain fo the day Tom also played out of position in centre midfield & after a fairly quiet 1st half put in a great shift in the 2nd & was at the heart of the chances Bolly created.
Archie & David both picks up knocks n the 1st half, but showed a lot of courage & played on for the team. Tomos had a great game at the back, Liam did some great work especially tracking back down the right to cover Archie & Paul did a fantastic job on his own up front, a tough job especially against the wind.
Player of the match was a tough choice, but was just shaded by Elliott who covered a lot of ground in midfield, did some great cover defending tracking back & was also involed in most of the chances Bolly created. A great effort by the 10 players today - they were naturally very down at the end, but they should be proud of the effort they all put in today.
