This year the Bowling Day will be having a change of venue and taking place at Dobbies Sports & Social Club. This is the longest running club event and has created many a memory over the past 25 years. It's always a great day out and allows all the staff, players and supporters a chance to have some fun away from the rugby field.

Now, Crown Green Bowls and Dominoes might not seem like the ideal pastimes for those used to a high octane sport like Rugby League, but you would be surprised at the levels of competitiveness on show once we're on that green. Don't be put off by thinking its not your thing, it's a chance to have a laugh and a joke with friends, whilst leaving the rugby behind for a week at least.

A £10 entry fee will be charged, but with the chance to win prize money for the winners and runners up of both the bowls and dominoes you have a real opportunity of walking away in profit. All money from entry fees goes towards prize money and food, so it all comes back to you in the end.

We're hoping to see a lot of you there, particularly with the influx of new players of late, and look forward to seeing some friendly rivalry over the bowls and dominoes. Don't worry, the beer will be flowing from start to finish!

We will be meeting from 11.30am on Saturday 20th July, the address is 250 Radcliffe Moor Rd, Radcliffe, Bolton BL2 6RL. Of course, after all the frivolity throughout the day I'm sure a number of people will be heading for the bright lights of Bolton Town Centre to continue the enjoyment.
