The book is titled Jack Gas, this being the nickname he was given by the regulars of Breightmet Labour Club, relating to his profession, when having all those "after work drinks", and is a meandering tale of his life from pram to pensioner.
Having been inspired to put pen to paper during lockdown, Jack became our very own version of Pam Ayres by writing poetry to help him pass the time and keep his mind active. This then developed his passion for writing and reignited the desire to write a book. Jack describes his work as the chronicles of a mature student of life, some true, some fantasy, some serious, most light-hearted, littered with short rhyming stories and written in uncomplicated English by an uncomplicated soul. Now that book number one has been completed, number two is in the 'pipeline', and with plenty of time on his hands it surely won't be long before we see him talking to Melvyn Bragg on The South Bank Show.
Having now become a published writer, Jack has the task of selling the book to friends, family and those in the literary world who like a good yarn. As such, people can purchase the book from the following link https://www.ypdbooks.com/biography/1744-jack-gas-the-disjointed-deliberations-of-an-uncomplicated-soul-YPD02499.html or if you want the more personal touch you can buy the book directly from the author.
