With certain restrictions in place and guidance to adhere to.

Each teams coaching will be different

Before each training session you will be asked to read the clubs risk assessment in regards to Covid-19 and sign a consent form allowing your child to be trained by Bolton Woods. This will need doing on a weekly basis to begin with until guidance changes.

Each teams coaching will be different to begin with based on the guidance of only allowing 1 coach to 5 children ratio at training all observing a 2m distancing throughout the session. Your individual coach will be arranging the training times and day of training. This may not be on a Saturday now due to the social distancing guidance. We ask you to arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your allocated training session time and please ensure you are there to collect your child on time. We are asking if possible for you to wait in cars during the training session depending on your child’s age but if you will be staying at the session please ensure you observe the 2m guidance from the session going on and other parents.

Each child will be required to use hand sanitizer before and after a training session as will our coaches. Can we please ask you ensure your child has done this prior to their training session. Training equipment will also be cleaned down by the coach between sessions if they have more than one group training. If possibly we advise children bring their own footballs to their session but this is not compulsory. All coaches have been supplied with appropriate PPE equipment for administering first aid.

As it stands at the moment the 2m social distancing rule is still in place although this may change either before training restarts or after. We are asking you speak with your child before the session ensuring they are encouraged to observe the guidance and coaches will be setting up their sessions in accordance to the ruling. There will be no match play in training until further notice.

If your child uses an inhaler, this must be brought to every training session in a clear sealed bag and passed onto the coach. If your child doesn’t bring their inhaler they will not be able to take part in the session.

Please remember if your child or anyone in your household displays any of the following signs – high temperature, a new continuous cough or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste please DO NOT attend training sessions.

I appreciate all this guidance sounds very strict but we need to ensure the children’s, coaches and parents safety is put first whilst also allowing the children to restart training. Coaches will be encouraging the guidance but this will be done in a friendly manner as our children need to feel safe, happy and most of all have fun during this difficult time.

As it stands there is no start date for the league for the 20/21 season but as soon as we find anything out I will be asking coaches to pass on the information.

To ensure your child is covered on our insurance at training, anyone who cancelled their direct debit must ensure it is set up by the 3rd of July. Failure to do this will mean your child wont be able to restart training due to them not being covered by the clubs insurance.

If anyone has any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

On behalf of Bolton Woods Executive
