We’re back at home this weekend after another big three points was secured on the road last time out against Airdrie. Despite losing an early goal after just two minutes as Sophie Harrison gave the Diamonds the lead from the penalty spot, there was a great response as Jen scored four first half goals before Saffron came off the bench to add a fifth in the second half sending us home with a 5-1 win.

This weekend we welcome Armadale Thistle to Poltonhall. The sides have already met twice this season with both teams registering a win each. The reverse league fixture at Volunteer Park in September ended in a 2-1 defeat thanks to a late winner from the hosts. Armadale came to Midlothian the following month in the Scottish Cup First Round and it was Rose that progressed with a 3-1 win thanks to goals from Bex and a Chelsea double.

Armadale are still to return to League action after the break with their first game back against Airdrie being postponed and last weekend was their free week. Two wins from our first two games of 2025 have seen us move into top spot in the Barclays SWF League One table, six points ahead of Sunday’s opponents, albeit the West Lothian side have two games in hand.
